2019 Spring Evaluations

Evaluations Details
Evaluations are scheduled for Saturday, February 2. See below for the location and start times, the items you should bring, what to expect, and more. Players in Tee Ball and Farm Ball do not need to attend evaluations.

The purpose of evaluations is to evenly distribute talent among the teams to promote a fair and competitive atmosphere. This is not a tryout.

Location
All evaluations will be held at Sewell Park.

Rookie - Field 2
Major / Minor - Field 3

Start Times
Below are the overall times by division. Please use the Signup Genius link to choose a slot for your player. Please arrive 15 minutes before your slot time to check-in. Each group will have 30 minutes to complete evaluations.

- Rookie Ball : 9:00 to 1:00
- Minor League / Major League : 9:00 to 1:00

Items to Bring / Wear
- Glove
- Helmet **
- Bat **
- Cleats or athletic shoes
- Baseball clothing or comfortable athletic attire

** The league will provide these if you do not have these for your player.

What to Expect
Each player will be asked to do the following things:
- Play catch
- Run the bases
- Field 2-3 ground balls at SS and throw to 1B
- Catch 2-3 balls at 1B thrown from SS
- Pitch 4-5 balls in the bullpen (Minor and Major only)
- Hit 3-4 soft toss pitches

Team notifications will go out by Friday, February 8. Players should expect practices to begin on February 9.

Inclement Weather
If rain or severe weather is expected, the evaluations will be moved to D-BAT Marietta. Notification of this move will be sent out via email once the decision has been made.

Volunteer Assistance
Some assistance with coordination will be needed by parents during the evaluations. The league will reach out to those who volunteered for "Special Events" for help.
