Free Summer Skill Clinics Players age 7-10 Only!
The clinics will be run by Travis Cabrera the Rookie League Commissioner and other East Marietta volunteers. We are looking to help the players that are transitioning from Farm to Rookie and Rookie to Minor for the upcoming fall and 2020 spring season since both moves for players are a change from the way they have played in the past. All players between the ages of 7-10 are welcome to join to get their reps in prior to upcoming fall season. We will be holding 4 Summer Clinics along with Scrimmages the following day the dates are below.

**In order to play in the scrimmages we ask that you have attended the clinic prior**

Farm to Rookie players we will be playing on Field 2 and will be working on getting used to the field dimensions. We will be working on getting the timing of the pitch machine which is at 40 MPH as well as distance of the pitch machine. There will be a variety of drills during each clinic that will help each player develop their overall baseball skills.

Rookie to Minor players will be playing on Field 1 and will be working on a  variety of new skills they will need to start their minor season on a good foot. Pitching mechanics will be one of the sessions we will have at each clinic to ensure we are developing proper techniques for all our players to avoid injuries when pitching. Base Stealing along with proper sliding will be another major key point to go over to ensure the players understand when and how to steal and slide going into a base. Another item that will be very important in these clinics will be seeing actual pitchers when up at bat and learning how to time different pitchers as well as be able to determine if a pitch is in an out of a strike zone since every pitch counts at this level. There will be other drills that are conducted during each clinic that will help develop their overall baseball skills.
